Quotes About Motherhood to Save and Share

There are so many parts of motherhood that are hard to put into words.

Some days feel slow and overwhelming, others pass by so quickly you barely have time to notice them. That’s why certain words or phrases stay with us, they capture something we’ve felt but haven’t quite said out loud.

We pulled together a collection of quotes about motherhood that reflect those moments, the emotional, the messy, the beautiful, and everything in between.

Meaningful quotes can also become something more. A note written in a card, a message shared with another mom, or even something you keep for yourself. You might write one inside a baby book, frame it in a nursery, or place it somewhere you’ll see often, like in your bathroom or office. Moms can use quotes as affirmations, motivators, or just reminders of the incredible journey that is motherhood!

Why Words Like These Matter

What all of these quotes have in common is that they reflect something real and are honest.

Motherhood isn’t just one feeling, it’s a lot of them at once. And most of it happens in moments that are easy to forget over time. That’s why writing things down matters. Not in a perfect way, just little notes, thoughts, things you don’t want to lose.

Having a place to write those thoughts down, whether it’s in a baby memory book or on sticky notes you can add later, can help you hold onto the moments that pass more quickly than expected.

A lot of moms even end up creating their own “quotes” without realizing it, just by putting how they feel into words. And those are usually the ones that mean the most later.
